AMI Centre facilities - Response devices

AMI Centre has a variety of different response devices. Detailed instructions on how to use these devices can be found from the console room at AMI Centre.

Lumitouch

LUMItouch is a hand held fiber optic patient response system designed specifically for use in functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and similar environments. The system consists of metal free keypads connected via fiber optic cable to an optoelectronic controller unit. The response keypads and cabling are fabricated from 100% plastic materials and therefore do not cause electromagnetic interference. This feature is critical for use in MRI environments where normal electromechanical switches with conductor wiring will interfere with or damage the sensitive scanning head. (from LUMItouch brochure).

AMI Centre has two LUMItouch response pads, both including four keyboard like response buttons.

fORP

AMI Centre has three fORP interfaces and five different response devices. All handheld optic response devices are non-magnetic, non-electronic, plastic and designed for fMRI and MEG. fORP response system is manufactured by Current Designs

  • 4 button diamond keypad
  • 8 button bimanual straight lines keypads
  • Joystick
  • Trackball
  • Grip force

RESPONSEPixx

AMI Centre has five RESPONSEPixx response devices. All handheld optic response devices are non-magnetic, non-electronic, plastic and designed for fMRI and MEG. RESPONSEPixx response system is manufactured by VPixx Technologies

  • dual handheld 2 x 5-button response devices
  • dual handheld 2 x 2-button response devices
