Evaluation process of project proposals (EIT RawMaterials)
There are three types of criteria for evaluation and subsequent selection of proposals according to these guiding principles
Eligible criteria
These are mandatory requirements, projects which do not meet such criteria will not be considered for further evaluation.
- Project consortium consists of a minimum of 3 KIC Core or Associate Partners, coming from a minimum of 2 different CLCs and a minimum of 2 different countries.
- Project consortium includes KIC Core or Associate partners from at least 2 sides of the knowledge triangle (education, research, industry/business).
- The project cannot have one partner as the work package leader in all work packages.
Quality criteria
Quality criteria against which the collected proposals will be scored and ranked by external evaluators
Full evaluation criteria lists available in the call texts.
Strategic criteria
Strategy criteria against which the collected proposals will be scored and ranked by the EIT RawMaterials Management Team.
Full evaluation criteria lists available in the call texts.
Eligible proposals will be selected based on the quality and strategy criteria ranking. Quality criteria (external evaluation) account for the 70% of the final score, while strategy criteria (EIT RawMaterials evaluation) account for 30%.
Additional eligibility criteria (only in Lighthouse proposals)
- one (or more) of the topics listed in the LH Appendix;
- at least one Higher Education or LLL or WSL or Coaching program must be included when considering Upscaling activities:

Where possible, educational activities should be developed jointly with the Industry Partners’ relevant departments (human resources, training, corporate responsibility….).
