The Aalto Digital Creatives Art & Tech Open Call ’23 is looking for artists, designers, game developers and other creatives with innovative projects that blend technology and art. The Art & Tech Open Call is designed to support cutting-edge projects that harness the capabilities of digitalization to fuel the creative industries.

Applications are accepted from teams composed of researchers, artists, students, startups and other creative professionals. Proposals submitted to the Art & Tech Open Call should demonstrate a clear vision for developing novel forms of digital content or prototypes, as well as the technological tools and techniques required to realise them.

The successful applications will receive development funding ranging from EUR 5 000 to 15 000 per project, and they will also have the opportunity to utilise Aalto Studios’ advanced research and technology infrastructure.

The project proposals could focus on, but are not limited to, the following topics: new methods and formats for audiovisual storytelling; technology-enhanced art, design and entertainment; augmentation of human creativity through computational methods or creation of novel interactive experiences. The deadline for project proposals is on Tuesday 2.5.23. Applicants need to be prepared to produce a prototype or a demo of their idea.
