Paint Shop

In the Paint Shop, students, researchers and teachers can paint and apply surface treatment to prototypes or models. It is possible to paint with a syringe, roller, brush or apply spray coatings there.

Main equipment and functions:

  • large painting wall: for painting with a syringe, roll, brush, and for applying spray coatings
  • paint-spraying booth: for painting with a syringe, roll, brush and for applying spray coatings
  • syringe washer unit
  • shelves for the drying of painted parts

Materials for use:

Water- and solvent-based paints and varnishes can be used in the Paint Shop In addition to these, it is possible to use various surface treatment agents, oils and waxes. Users should personally obtain the materials for their work. The workshop master approves the materials for use. A user safety notice along with the user’s contact information should accompany the chemicals that are in use or left in the paint storage facility.

Work authorisations and orientation training

The workshop masters arrange orientation training at the beginning of the academic term or courses, after which s/he issues work authorisations. The Paint Shop is open Mon–Fri 9:00–16:00, at other times with an HSL card.
