Innovation services unit
Aalto University is the most active Finnish university in filing patent applications. Proprietary technology developed at Aalto University is used by a number of global companies.
Aalto University licenses and provides the expertise and know-how needed to deploy its patented technologies in practice, and carries out a wide variety of joint research activities with companies and other partners.
The Innovation Services unit manages Aalto University’s patent portfolio and is tasked with commercializing research done at Aalto.
Licensable patent portfolio covers six main categories:
