Training for teachers: Virtual Exchange - Fostering international Student-Teacher collaborations

Unite! Teaching and Learning offers 12 pedagogical training sessions for Aalto University teachers including PhDs and post-docs with teaching responsibility. The training will develop your sensitivity towards the integration of linguistic, intercultural, communication skills into university courses. You will learn to design a VE project as a way of internationalizing your courses.

Unite! Teaching and Learning is a series of training activities aimed at teaching staff, lecturers and faculty in all Unite! partner institutions (including Ph.D. students and postdocs involved with teaching), who are interested in sharing and developing teaching and learning practices. We invite you to meet Unite! colleagues while learning how teaching and learning is promoted at different partner universities.

  • Learn about Virtual Exchange principles and goals

  • Become familiar with different VE experiences and networks

  • Develop sensitivity towards the integration of linguistic, intercultural, communication skills into university courses

  • Learn to design a VE project as a way of internationalizing one’s own courses

The trainers are Dr. Elisabet Arnó and Dr. Miguel Usandizaga from UPC.

The Unite! activities – webinars, courses and training events – are run by pedagogical experts from the partner universities and are free of charge for the Unite! community. All “Unite! Teaching and Learning” activities are in English. Some of the activities will award credits.
