‘At first, we only had the idea that we wanted to build a satellite, However, at that time none of us, students or teachers, knew how to build one. We just started to look through books, research papers and websites and carrying out our own tests in the area. The project has progressed slowly but surely, and we are now finally sending our first satellite, the Aalto-1 into space early this year. A second as well as a third satellite are also in the works. The Aalto-1 satellite project has proved at least to me how dreams can come true, if you are willing to work hard for them.’
