Voluntary officials for the Aalto Walk & Run needed on 21.9.2024

Aalto University will recruit again 12 volunteer officials to work as the maintenance staff of Aalto Walk & Run - running event held as part of the Espoo Rantamarathon running event on Saturday 21.9. 2024

Join and help us make the event happen again 2024! The work of the volunteers is very important for the event. Based on the feedback, working as a volunteer is really rewarding and fun - will you try it this year too?

The volunteers are needed during the Espoo Rantamaraton and Aalto Walk & Run weekend as follows: 

• On Friday 20.9.2024 in two shifts at 12-16 and 16-20 in the race office (Otahalli) in printing the number plates for the participants (8 volunteers)
• On Saturday 21.9.2024 at 8-14 in the race office (Otahalli) in printing the number plates for the participants (4 volunteers)

In case you would like to volunteer AND run or walk on Saturday 21 September, you can take the Friday shift 20.9.

In addition to good mood the officials will get some packed lunch and the possibility to participate the marathons (full marathon or half marathon) on Saturday 21 September free of charge (value 40 euros).

Registration as a volunteer 

Register by sending email to [email protected] and give your contact information (name, telephone no, email address) and inform which run you will join and which volunteer shift you choose. You will soon receive a response and a code for a free marathon. More detailed instructions on how to act as a volunteer will come closer to the event in August- September from the Espoo Rantamaraton.

ATTN! Kindly note, that volunteer officials, who choose to take the possibility to run the Espoo Rantamartahon/half marathon free of charge need to provide doctor’s statement in case they do not show up to their volunteer tasks. In case no-show, bill (40 euro Espoo Rantamarathon fee) will be sent to the volunteer.
