Satu Herrala is a curator with a background in dance and choreography. She has been doing a part-time doctoral research at Aalto University Department of Art since 2016. Her research titled Embodied Curating as a Methodology for Emergence - Creating conditions for art to summon collective and transformative agencies is thinking about embodiment and bodily knowledge in artistic and curatorial work. Her recent work that she co-curated with visual artist Hans Rosenström, the contemporary art program A I S T I T / coming to our senses, was presented in Paris, London, Berlin and Helsinki in May-September 2021.
