Learning outcomes

The student learns about an advanced topic related to marketing. The topic varies, and is determined by the instructor. The course may focus on theory, research methods and/or practice.

Content

This is an independent and self-directed learning experience. Upon the completion of this course, the student will have gained:

  • advance knowledge on a contemporary marketing topic of their choosing
  • sharper critical thinking skills
  • a deeper understanding of how analytical thinking help in the field of marketing

This course is organized at the same time as bachelor's level course (MARK-C2022) and as a master's level course (MARK-E2022). You need to self-enrol to the MyCourses page that is used for the academic year for this course. No other MyCourses page will be used. In order to do so, search for “Contemporary Marketing Issues Reading Package” using the MyCourses search function and click the ‘Self-Enrolment’ button next to the course with the indication of the correct academic year.

Recommended prerequisites: an introductory course in marketing

Evaluation

To successfully complete the course, participants must choose the reading package, complete the assigned reading materials, provide critical insightful feedback and commentary on the assigned reading materials. Details on the evaluation criteria will be specified on the MyCourses page.

Teaching time and location

There will be no lectures, as this is a fully self-study course.

  3. From the blue bar, click Lecture and open the Groups and teaching times tab to see the teaching time and the location of the course. Exam times can be seen by clicking Exam.

It is not possible to register before the registration period has started or after it has ended.

The number of participants is limited to 10.  
8 places are reserved for bachelor's level course and 2 places for master's level course.
