Ahmed Ismail M. Ali (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt, in 2013 and 2017, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Nagoya, Japan, in 2022.

Since 2013, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, first as an Administrator and as an Assistant Lecturer since 2017. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, South Valley University. He is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with Aalto university, Espoo, Finland. He has several publications in international journals and conferences. His research interests include pulse-width-modulation (PWM) techniques for bidirectional ac/dc converters, single-phase and three-phase multilevel converters, modular multilevel converters (MMxCs), isolated three-phase grid-tied differentially based dc–ac inverters, battery chargers for electric vehicles (EVs), and renewable energy applications and machine drives.
