Akshay Kalgutkar

Dr. Akshay Kalgutkar is currently a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. He works in the field of Computational Mechanics and Structural Health Monitoring. His research focuses on understanding the behaviour of damaged structures using the vibrational and ultrasonic wave-based approach through experiments and Finite Element modelling. His work also involves studies to understand the instability characteristics of laminated structures. He was the recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Research Fellows granted by the Government of India.
