Teaching case of Moomin characters in Japan

Visiting Professor Hiroshi Kanno from Waseda Business School will present the case of Moomin charaters in Japan on Wednesday February 1 at 13.15-4 pm in Undergraduate center, class room  U7 PWC 135a. The teaching case is part of the BSc course ‘International Business in the Era of Disruptions’ at the Department of Management Studies.

Professor Hiroshi Kanno from Waseda Business School in Tokyo will be spending his one-year sabbatical in department of Management Studies from February 1 2023 to January 2024.

Professor Kanno has an MSc degree in Engineering and Architecture from the Tokyo Institute of Technology and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. He worked for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Tokyo for 17 years, where he served various clients, both Asian and Western. He was also the Asia/Pacific Regional Leader of the Technologies, Media and Telecommunications Practice.

After leaving BCG, he was appointed tenured professor at Hitotsubashi Business School and Waseda Business School in Tokyo. He taught courses on strategy, corporate strategy, general management, operations management, and problem solving. He was also engaged in executive education for both Japanese and global corporations.
