I am currently a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Advanced Energy Materials at the Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University. 

I obtained my B.Sc. degree in Physics from Renmin University of China, M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Technology and PhD in Batteries from TU Delft. I did postdoctoral research at HZB, HU Berlin and MIT with a Humboldt Research Fellowship and a DAAD-PRIME Fellowship. I also received several awards, including a ZEISS Young Research Award and a Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad.

My research topics include batteries and electrocatalysis, focusing on mechanistic understandings of electrochemical energy materials & interfaces through correlative and advanced operando and ex situ characterization (cryo-EM, in-situ TEM, synchrotron and neutron-based spectroscopy, etc.). I also research battery ageing analysis with integrated electrochemical analytics and materials characterization, and battery state estimation and lifetime prediction with advanced models.
