In my role as Senior Advisor at Aalto University, I am responsible for the development of research career systems, including the tenure track. Working in close collaboration with the Provost and the Chief Human Resources Officer, I lead the design and continuous development of research career related processes, policies, and guidelines.
My work focuses on aligning research career practices with international standards, institutional strategy, and evolving requirements in the higher education environment. This includes balancing diverse stakeholder perspectives while ensuring compliance with academic traditions and legal frameworks.
I coordinate Aalto University’s HR Excellence (HRS4R) activities and actively contribute to European and international networks, including CESAER’s Talent, careers & staff task force. I also participate in national and EU-level working groups on responsible research evaluation, and fair and transparent career systems.
My expertise builds on over 20 years of experience in research, project management, and HR development. I have worked extensively on compensation and reward systems, particularly analytical job evaluation and gender-neutral pay systems, contributing to both national initiatives and EU-level policy development projects.
I hold a Licentiate degree in Work and Organizational Psychology.
