The Wood Program at the Department of Architecture received the "New Academic Proposals Award". The award distinguishes different academic programs committed to new ways of teaching architecture that, as a result, bring to the community ideas of exploration with a high social content aimed at improving the quality of life of society.

Knight First Class Order of Lion on Finland awarded by the President of the Republic of Finland for the merits in developing the Finnish wood architecture and construction.

Wood Program 'Kokoon' modular housing system recognized as an innovative architectural solution that uses building elements or modules constructed with Kerto® LVL (laminated veneer lumber) products as a major component.<br/><br/>Criteria:<br/>Fast - the design enables fast building processes.<br/>Light - the design is lightweight.<br/>Green - the design improves the CO2 balance of the building.

Organized by London based 'Architectural Review', AR House recognises innovation and excellence in the design of dwellings. Over 200 international entries were considered by a panel of selected judges, who were looking for ingenious and future-leading houses that seek to push the type forward. <br/><br/>Sixteen homes were shortlisted by the judging panel before six made it to the final round and were visited by independent critics before the judging panel decided on a winner.
