Maija Jylhä-Ollila is a doctoral candidate in the group of geoengineering. Her research interests are in the areas of hydrogeology, surface water - ground water interactions, long term impacts of groundwater intake and artificial recharge.

Maija Jylhä-Ollila graduated with a M.Sc. in Geology  from University of Helsinki in 2004 and she has a 10 years' experience working as a hydrogeologist in environmental consulting.
