Gianluca Giabardo is a designer, researcher, and educator with a varied background of studies in Industrial Design and Business. He has been working as a duo with Livia Rossi at Dossofiorito, the studio they co-founded, between 2012 and 2018. Their practice has mainly been focused on exploring and experimenting on the relationship with “others” non-human beings (especially plants) through objects, installations, and workshops with kids and adults.

After moving to Finland, Gianluca has been a teacher and designer in residence at Aalto University. Since 2020 he is a Doctoral Candidate and his research focuses on symbiotic conviviality.

In this practice-led work, he investigates manifestations of care, co-existence, and co-survival of human and non-human actors with(in) bread baking practices toward symbiotic and convivial societal forms.
