Incoming International Staff
When you are inviting someone
Contact the department HR when you are planning to invite someone to Aalto.
Receiving unit HR
Receiving unit HR sends the Aalto University Hosting Agreement to every international member of staff/faculty from Non-Eu countries before their arrival. The invitation defines receiving unit, the inviter, job description, salary and the working period of the invited person.
The invitation helps the incoming person in applying the necessary immigration permits (such as visa or residence permit) in the country of residence before the actual work contract has been signed.
Those coming to do research in Aalto with a grant can be invited with the same invitation form.
Process for Incoming Aalto Staff (pdf) lists the tasks and responsibilities for the support staff who receive international incoming staff at the departments.
