Oskari Vilamo Fund awarded the best theses on building trade

The Fund awarded three doctoral dissertations and nine master's theses.

Oskari Vilamo Fund, a part of the Foundation of Economic Education, is awarding annually the most distinguished theses on the building trade from the previous year. In 2018, the Fund has awarded three doctoral dissertations and nine master's theses.

The doctoral theses prizes of the year 2018 were granted to Sergei Khakalo, D.Sc. (Tech), Tuija Lind, D.Sc. (Tech), and Tero Niemi, D.Sc. (Tech), from Aalto University. The grant amount is 3 500 Euro.

The Master of Science prizes of the year 2018 were granted to Iris Andersson, M.Sc. (Arch.), Olli Enne, M.Sc. (Arch.), Jonas Forsman, M.Sc. (Tech.), Jenni Kesulahti, M.Sc. (Tech.), Ville Mäki, M.Sc. (Tech.), Aleksi Rinta-Paavola, M.Sc. (Tech.) and Paul Thynell,M.Sc. (Arch.)  from Aalto University and Pyry Piispanen, M.Sc. (Tech.) and Anssi Savisaari, M.Sc. (Arch.), from Tampere University of Technology .The grant amount is 2 000 Euro.

Oskari Vilamo Fund – Developer of Building Trade

Oskari Vilamo Fund belongs to the Foundation of Economic Education. It is named after the Councellor Oskari Vilamo, and its purpose is to further the high-grade study on building branch. In the Anniversary of 75 years in 1985, Lemminkäinen LLC founded a Fund to credit of Councellor Oskari Vilamo, the leading person in the history of the company. The Fund has awarded best theses already from 1993. So far, the Fund has awarded 55 PhD theses, 20 Licentiate theses and 135 MSc theses, including the 2018 awards.

Liikesivistysrahastoon kuuluva Oskari Vilamon rahasto on palkinnut vuoden 2018 parhaat rakennusalan väitöskirjat ja diplomityöt.

Väitöskirjapalkinnon saivat TkT Sergei Khakalo, TkT Tuija Lind ja TkT Tero Niemi Aalto-yliopistosta. Palkinnon suuruus on 3 500 euroa.

Rahaston diplomityöpalkinnot myönnettiin yhdeksän. Palkinnon saivat arkkitehti Iris Andersson, arkkitehti Olli Enne, arkkitehti Paul Thynell, diplomi-insinööri Joonas Forsman, diplomi-insinööri Jenni Kesulahti, diplomi-insinööri Pyry Piispanen ja diplomi-insinööri Aleksi Rinta-Paavola Aalto-yliopistosta, sekä diplomi-insinööri Ville Mäki Tampereen teknillisestä yliopistosta ja arkkitehti Anssi Savisaari Tampereen teknillisestä yliopistosta. Diplomityöpalkinnon suuruus on 2 000 euroa. 

Oskari Vilamon rahasto - rakennusalan kehittäjä
Liikesivistysrahastoon kuuluvan, talousneuvos Oskari Vilamon nimeä kantavan rahaston tarkoituksena on edistää rakentamisen korkeampaa tutkimusta. Lemminkäinen perusti rahaston vuonna 1985 ja nimesi sen yhtiön historian keskeisen hahmon Oskari Vilamon mukaan. Oskari Vilamon rahasto palkitsee vuosittain parhaat edellisenä vuonna valmistuneet rakennusalan opinnäytteet. Se on myöntänyt opinnäytepalkintoja vuodesta 1993 lähtien. Yhteensä rahasto on palkinnut 55 väitöskirjaa, 20 lisensiaatin työtä sekä 135 diplomityötä vuoden 2018 palkinnot mukaan lukien.
