As a visiting scientist at Aalto University, Department of Neuroscience & Biomedical Engineering, I am a member of Imaging language research group led by Prof. Riitta Salmelin, where we develop state-of-the-art machine learning and neural decoding models that extract hidden patterns and relevant samples from noisy data collections. Together with Riitta, and our collabortors in Netherlands, and CMU, USA, we try to understand how does a human brain work. For our recent work is described here

I work full time as a data scientist at OpusCapita Group Oy, a Fintech. where I lead machine learning development, for more details see my recent interview

PhD dissertation "Retrieval of gene expression measurements with probabilistic models" PDF available, (2008-2013), Department of Computer Science, Aalto University, under Prof. Sami Kaski's supervision, (short summary, see retrieval and fusion)
