The School of Business now invites applications for Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Management Accounting.
The position is located in the Department of Accounting. The Accounting Group is strongly dedicated to research, as shown by a stream of research published in top Accounting journals. Teaching assignments encompass undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs, and all graduate and Ph.D. courses are taught in English. The Department runs research seminars and is closely connected to major Finnish firms and organizations. In addition, the department is equipped with all major Accounting databases and many faculty members also have access to unique registry-based data sets from Finland. The position and our expectations
The position is open to candidates in the field of Management Accounting. The main tasks include high quality research in the field of management accounting, teaching responsibility of two courses or similar within the field. We are very open-minded in respect to the focus area of management accounting as well as to the research methodology, but we also value the fit to our current faculty profiles,
You have the potential to publish in top journals and to develop into an excellent teacher in our programs. In addition, we value readiness to apply for external research funding. Applicants should have completed their Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field, or be close to completion.
Those in the academic tenure track system are expected to exercise and guide scientific research, to provide high quality academic education, to follow the advances of their field, to participate in service to the Aalto University community, and to take part in societal interaction and international collaboration in their field.
