Progression to degree studies and scholarships 2023
The universities have made the related academic decisions. After completing the Pathway studies, the students have the chance to progress to degree studies at Tampere University. There is no progression option to Aalto University in 2023.
To progress to degree studies, you are required to (in spring 2023):
- Pass all the Pathway courses and reach a minimum GPA of 3,50/5,00 in the mathematics courses.
- Complete the separate admission process in the Studyinfo portal according to given instructions and deadlines.
- Submit the required English language certificate by the end of the separate admission (April 2023).
- Submit a certificate of an upper secondary degree which in the awarding country makes you eligible for higher education (latest July 2023).
Students who complete the Pathway courses at the required level and meet the other admissions criteria will get an offer from one of the progression degree programmes, but not necessarily the programme of their first choice. The progression to degree studies is not 100 % guaranteed, unless you successfully complete the Pathway programme and meet the other conditions listed above.
Our team will provide Pathway students with information and advice on the admissions process well before the application period begins.
The progression degree programmes are:
In admission, the highest ranking students will receive a 100% tuition fee scholarship in the Bachelor programme. Typically about one third of admitted students can receive full scholarships. Students who do not receive a full scholarship will be entitled to an early bird offer which will give them a 50 % reduction on the first year tuition fee. Students will also be eligible to apply for Tampere University scholarships during studies. Detailed information on scholarship options is available on the Tampere University Student’s Guide page on scholarships for fee-paying students. Note! There are no scholarships for the Pathway programme fee.
Once you are accepted to the Bachelor's degree programme, you automatically get the right to continue your studies in selected Master’s programmes after completing the Bachelor's degree.
Note: If you meet the requirements, you may apply to any degree programme in Finland without completing this pathway programme. See the Studyinfo portal for more information about the degree programmes, requirements and admissions.
