Meet the future game changers online
The virtual fair will be organised before the live event, on Tuesday November 8th and Wednesday November 9th, 2022.
Aalto Talent Expo offers virtual contact possibilites that are arranged effortlessly and feel relaxed. Your organization can meet students personally during 1:1 video meetings and reach more students at once during a virtual event of your own design. Additionally, you may select virtual CV & LinkedIn -clinic sessions, speed mentoring sessions and portfolio reviews free of charge! More information for these free sessions can be found here: https://www.aalto.fi/en/talent-expo/cv-linkedin-clinic-speed-mentoring-and-portfolio-review.
The virtual fair program is organized using JobTeaser. JobTeaser has been used during Aalto Talent Expo 2019 & 2021 as well as on virtual career fairs Aalto Talent Expo Virtual Week & Aalto Talent Expo Online. JobTeaser has received positive feedback from both employers and students and provides a great platform for virtual fair activities.
For the fair you may purchase a virtual fair package (850 € + VAT) which includes 1:1 video meetings during a 2-4 hour session as well as one 0,5 hour webinar slot. Further information can be found below.

We especielly enjoyed the varied contact opportunities, which included 1:1 meetings and webinars!
1:1 video meetings will be held in a 2-4 hour sessions, during which your organization will meet up to 8-16 students (15 minute session/student). These 1:1 meetings are quite valuable for students and employers, as they provide an opportunity for a personal discussion without any interference.
1:1 video meetings are included in the virtual fair package. If you wish, you may purchase additional 1:1 video meeting sessions for an extra price of 180 € + VAT.
You are required to have a suitable video meeting platform (such as MS Teams) available for the meetings. Registrations for the meetings are organized via JobTeaser, and you will be able to provide links, instructions and other relevant information for students through JobTeaser (https://www.aalto.fi/en/talent-expo/student-marketing-and-jobteaser).
An event template will be created for you for the meetings. You are required to fill this template on JobTeaser with information (event description etc.). For the event description we recommend you inform which topics you wish to discuss, who the students will meet and of course mention open job, summer job and internship positions and thesis assignments. To lower the barrier to register, it is advisable to add instructions on how to prepare for the meetings.
We recommend offering the meetings both in Finnish and in English. This way you'll be able to meet a wider range of students. If you can only offer meetings in Finnish then this should be indicated in the event description and all event texts must be in Finnish. We do not recommend that you limit participation based on which schools students come from, as the current field of study does not necessary fully indicate the students' previous study background or know-how.
Included in the Virtual Fair Package is one virtual event designed by your organization
As a part of the virtual fair package, you can design and organize your own virtual fair event for Aalto Talent Expo. This event can be e.g a CASE -type task for student involving a relevant theme/challenge for your organization, a workshop with students & your staff, Q & A -session with your experts, an introduction into your Trainee program or a webinar regarding an interesting and current topic involving your organization. When planning the event, it is important to consider what kind of event best serves both the students and your organization. A well-planned event is sure to enhance your employer image and is a great way to get to know Aalto students in a meaningful way.
If you are planning a webinar for your own event, we recommend a maximum length of 0,5 hour. If your event is more interactive, the length can be even longer. We reserve the right to change the schedule beforehand in order to avoid unfortunate overlaps in the program.
The themes for your event can be concrete (for example: career possibilites in your organization, career stories or trainee info) or more topical, involving relevant issues all the way from local innovations to AI and sustainable development.
For your own virtual event you will have a JobTeaser event page to fill accordingly. For the event itself, you are required to provide a suitable video platform. You may take registrations for the event, but the link can also be made visible for everyone visiting your event page.
We strongly recommend you write an informative and enticing event description on your event page (instructions: https://www.aalto.fi/en/talent-expo/student-marketing-and-jobteaser). Well-made event pages mean more students are likely to join your event. The description should be informative, and include how students should prepare for your virtual event and what kind of participation is expected of them (Note! As a minimum interaction requirement, students need to be able to ask questions). You may set a maximum number of participants.
We recommend you host your virtual event in English, as this allows you to reach a wider range of Aalto students. If your event is in Finnish, this should be indicated in the event description and all the descriptions/title of the event must also be in Finnish. We do not recommend you limit the event to students of specific fields, as current degree programme does not solely indicate the expertise students may have gained during previous studies & work experience.
Aalto University's largest recruitment event Aalto Talent Expo will be organized in Otahalli (Otaniemi) on November 10th 2022! Virtual fair activities will also be available during the fair week.
