Work experience acquired during your student years is an important part of your studies. It improves your chances on the job market after your graduation. Work experience is gained through different summer jobs, voluntary work and internship programmes in Finland and abroad. In most of the degree programmes, it is possible to include internship as part of the degree.
The purpose of internship is to apply matters learned during studies in practice and to help structure theoretical knowledge. The contacts established during internship and work experience within one's own field of study are important factors with respect to the entry into working life.

Every year, we publish adverts on more than 8 000 jobs and internships suitable for Aalto students. Aalto University also wants to support the internship of its students in Finland by providing internship subsidies and internationalization by providing students with opportunities to apply for grants for a foreign internship.
