Starting your studies
Congratulations for the admission and welcome to study at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture! On this page you will find instructions for starting your studies and the orientation programme.
The orientation week will be held on 28 August - 1 September 2023. Prepare to be present daily at 9-16.

Your student tutor will contact you in June-August. Your contact information will be given to your tutor. Volunteer tutors are part of university’s services for new students. Tutors offer peer-assistance, help to get right services and guide in student life at Aalto. Every new student will have a trained tutor. Tutoring is carried in co-operation with tutors, University personnel and student organizations. Each major or programme has their own tutors, who introduce students to the campus, student organization activities (TOKYO and AYY) and student life in general.
When you have activated your Aalto IT credentials starting, you can go through digital Preorientation. You will learn how to work on our campus and get basic information on our academic practices.
