Description

My research interests comprise properties of materials and nanostructures and quantum-mechanical phenomena taking place in them. My research is based mainly on first-principles electronic structure calculations including the method development. The applications cover a wide range of materials and nanostructures from bulk semiconductors and insulators for electronics applications, through thin-film solar cell and ferroelectric tunnel junction systems, to carbon nanotube networks for transparent conducting films and metallic nanostructures for plasmonic light harvesting.
