Doctoral Candidates or Post-docs in the area of Plant design

We are looking for highly motivated PhD candidates or post-docs to carry out research in the Plant design research group (Prof. Pekka Oinas) under the topic of Development and assessment of sustainable production processes. Our laboratory is situated on the main campus of Aalto University in Otaniemi.

We offer a multidisciplinary research environment and staff, and well-equipped laboratory. The group’s research interests include: process design and synthesis for bio-based- processes, cost engineering, scale-up of processes, process simulation and environmental and safety aspects of process design. As a successful applicant, you should be highly motivated in process research, development and designand have a solid background in chemical and process engineering. Industrial experience is highly appreciated. In addition, basic skills in the Finnish language is an advantage.

The doctoral candidate applicants must fulfill the admission requirements for the Aalto Doctoral Programme in Chemical Engineering. The applicant is expected to apply for and to be granted a right to pursue doctoral studies at Aalto University in the next application cycle in the spring of 2020.
