Content & Community Specialist, Digital Experience

We are now looking for a Content and Community Specialist to join our Digital Experience and Analytics team and support our content editor community. In this role you will be responsible for communicating updates, facilitating trainings and continuously improving the user experience for internal and external audiences.

As part of the Digital Experience and Analytics team you will work with faculty, and service personnel to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to showcase their work in the digital space. You will take part in the developmental process by gathering user feedback, suggesting new ideas and improvements, outlining design specifications, and reviewing and testing prototypes and technical development.

Core responsibilities include

  • Supporting and advising web content editors on any questions or concerns related to the and other smaller sites the Digital Experience and Analytics team supports
  • Organising Drupal and web-editing-related training sessions and meet-ups
  • Keeping the Aalto community up to date with the website's latest developments via different communication channels and means
  • Turning feedback and ideas into actionable tickets for designers and developers to turn into new features
  • Gathering user data and utilizing it to support decision-making

Your experience and skillset

We are looking for an efficient and community minded communications specialist, with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility. You are solution orientated and are eager to help those around you succeed. You have experience working with service design and improvement processes and are familiar with the agile way of working.

  • Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish
  • Understanding of how a good website works and how web content should be structured and built
  • Good understanding of digital accessibility is seen as an advantage
  • Analytical mindset
  • Capable of seeing the bigger picture but also paying attention to small details
  • Customer service oriented and good communication skills
  • Strong independent problem solving
