'Warm welcome to new students and congratulations for study place! Aalto University’s study option in economics and business administration received the most first preference applications of all the study options in the joint application for higher education in Finland this spring. Applicants’ interest in studies in the fields of technology and science as well as art and design is strong too', says Aalto University’s Vice President for Education, Petri Suomala.

The most popular study options this year were economics and business administration; visual communication design, art education and interior architecture in the field of art and design; and computer science, automation and information technology, and mechanical engineering and building technology in the field of science and technology.

Some applicants have been admitted based on their studies in the Aalto University Open University. Open university tracks are available for specific study options in the fields of technology and business and economics.

The national Studyinfo service grants each admitted applicant one study place. The Studyinfo placing procedure covers all joint applications to universities and universities of applied sciences, and it will end on 31 July 2019.

The admission results will be informed in the Studyinfo service and a result letter sent by the Finnish National Agency for Education.
