Updates on the demo
Languages and translations
Currently, the demo version hubs are available mainly in one language, in Finnish or English. If a language version is missing, the page has a link at the top of it to direct the reader to the available language version. The translation work for the missing language versions will start during the summer.
The most recent updates to the site are the News and Events components, as well as the automatic research output component and people liftup. In addition, the first version of the search function now in use.
News and Events
Drupal now offers components for creating news and events! Both news and events can be added by using specific content types designed for them. After adding some news or events, automatic event liftups and automatic news liftups can be used to automatically show some of them in an article or a hub.
Some news and events from the present aalto.fi have already been added manually to the new site to demonstrate what the new components look like. Below, you can see an example of both liftups.

Research group members and research outputs
Research groups have now been added to Drupal using their own content type. Two new components, especially useful for these pages, are automatic research outputs and people liftup.
The component for automatic research outputs collects a research group’s publications from the research.aalto.fi database, and displays them on the page. People liftup can be used to show the group members. This information also comes from the same database.
The search can now be used by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the top right-hand corner of a page. This is the first version of the search, which will be improved during the coming months.
The demo version helps the project team in developing the site further when we receive even more feedback through the site. We have added an easy way to give feedback directly on the site, by clicking on the feedback button.
