Mentoring programme: content

Here you will find information regarding events and other practicalities for the mentoring programme.

Mentoring meetings

The core of the mentoring programme is in one-to-one meetings between a mentor and an actor. It is recommended that mentoring pairs meet once a month in 1-2 hours´ mentoring discussions. The time and place of the meetings and whether the meetings are close or remote can be agree on by the pairs themselves. The mentoring materials and peer sessions offered at the beginning and during the programme offer actors and mentors support and tips for their roles.

Joint events

The mentoring programme begins 17 November at 5:30 p.m. (EET, GMT +2) with a virtual kick-off event. The main focus of the event is on group discussions and the Questions & Answers section, and it does not include pair work.

A peer event for mentors will be held 12 December at 5:00 p.m. (EET, GMT +2). The purpose of the event is to provide mentors with food for though and practical tools for the role of a mentor.

During the programme, there is also the opportunity to participate in cross-mentoring. Mentoring pairs can also arrange events themselves if they wish.

The programme concludes with a closing event in Otaniemi in May.

Most of the events are held virtually on Zoom. Participation in all joint events is optional.
