We will provide a hands-on demonstration on how to submit preprints and revisions to the arXiv repository. In general, we will focus on the following topics:

  • What is a preprint 
  • Why publish preprints 
  • How to check journal preprint policies 
  • How to license different versions of the manuscript 
  • Hands-on demonstration of how to post preprints and revisions to arXiv

Who can participate?

The webinar is aimed at staff and students who are interested in current developments in academic publishing, namely preprint publishing. The lecturers are from Aalto, but the training is openly available to anyone interested in the topic. The webinar is free of charge.

Learning outcomes

You will learn about preprint publishing, more specifically about how to check journal policies, how to license different versions of the manuscript, and how to post revisions to arXiv.

Format

A one-hour webinar including a live Q&A discussion.
