Career Design Lab
Events and networking
The kick-off will be organised as a Zoom webinar on Thursday, 17th of November at 5.30-7.00 pm (EET, GMT +2). At the event, you will get guidance and tips for the mentoring process and a chance to discuss with other actors and mentors. The event does not include any pair exercises, so you are warmly welcome even if your mentor cannot participate.

In the mentor peer meetings, mentors can discuss their own role, share experiences and get advice and tips for their role. The first peer event for mentors will be held on 12th December at 5 pm (EET, GMT +2). The invitation will be sent to mentors after the opening event. The second event will be held in March (date to be announced later).
The actor peer event will be held in January. More information will follow later in December.
Let us know of your desired discussion topics in advance: [email protected]
The purpose of cross-mentoring is to offer actors and mentors the opportunity to get to know another actor or mentor participating in the programme, share experiences and gain new information and perspectives.
Cross-mentoring will be held in March among the actors and mentors who have signed up for it. More information will follow later.
The closing ceremony in May is the official end of mentoring. The content of the event varies each year.
The date will be announced in early spring.
At the end of the programme, you will also receive a certificate of participation.
Would you like to organise a discussion session on a topic that interests you and invite other actors and mentors interested in the topic? Or would you perhaps like to arrange a visit to your workplace?
The event or visit can be organised:
- in relation to your own areas of strength, interests or general working life topics
- in person or virtually
- alone, together with your actor/mentor or, for example, with other mentoring pairs
The organiser/inviter takes care of the content of the meeting. The manager of the mentoring programme helps with participant communication, taking registrations and space reservations for the Otaniemi campus.
