Booking and using ACT
How do I reserve ACT?
Please contact the lab manager by email at [email protected]. Mention the dates you would be interested in (this will not yet create a binding reservation), your name, address and telephone number. Also include the preliminary heading of your research paper and the names of your co-authors. The lab manager will create a username and password for you to our online experiment and participant management system.
Once you have logged on, follow the instructions sent to you to create studies and add timeslots. You can also download the instructions here.
Please keep in mind that when not booked for researchers, ACT is used by students as a learning space, so please do not book any more time than you will require.
How can I access ACT?
Access to ACT is not restricted as it is used as a study space when not used for experiments. See our find us page to find your way to ACT or contact the lab manager to agree a time to be shown around.
Equipment and resources
ACT contains 20 places for participants as well as one for the researcher or lab manager. Each place is equipped with an all-in-one computer. The computers have integrated cameras and a touch screen. The computers run Windows 10.
The computers have the following software installed:
- z-Tree / z-Leaf
- Web browser
If you need other software, please contact the lab manager.
The lab manager is responsible for the practicalities of running ACT and can help introduce you to the functioning of the lab. The lab manager will not run or conduct experiments on your behalf but will provide assistance to help you get started.
Please direct all questions to the lab manager via email to [email protected]. In urgent matters, you can call the lab manager on +358 40 739 1830.
