1. Communication in organizations
- types of knowledge and skills needed
- what is industrial communications
- impact of PR, CRS and ethics on bottom line
- groupwork: comparative analysis of industrial CSR statements
- theory on CSR principles and ethics
2. Impacts of outsider intervention on local conditions
- visiting lecturer: effects on economics and wellbeing
- ways of leveraging living standards
- case Naisten Pankki
- assignment from Naisten Pankki: Communication needs analysis
- goodwill, empathy and emotional intelligence
3. Project management
- what is a project? what is project management?
- getting organized (roles: PM, finance, PR etc.)
- responsibilities: fund raising, needs analysis, operational planning, external comms
- groupwork: project specification documents: identification of target country, goals and methods
4. Kick-off
- presentation of group organization, goals and methods
