International programs

Economics

Students pursuing a Master’s degree at the School of Economics have the opportunity to take the European joint degree CEMS MIM (Master’s in International Management) in parallel to their MSc degree programme. CEMS MIM is co-designed by the CEMS member universities and corporate partners. In 2009 CEMS MIM was ranked number one by Financial Times in a worldwide survey of pre-experience management programs.

The CEMS MIM curriculum is for the most part completed during one academic year. After successful completion of the requirements of both the home degree and CEMS programme, the student will graduate with two diplomas, MSc and CEMS MIM. The curriculum comprises an exchange semester at another CEMS university, CEMS courses, CEMS business project and skill seminars.

Art and Design

The Master's studies consist of advanced studies in the relevant field with the aim of deepening the student's research skills, and a diploma work. The diploma work can be either design-oriented, artistic or pedagogical, depending on the educational field of the respective schools. Most of the MA programs are held in English, but not all.

Technology

The Aalto University School of Science and Technology offers programmes that lead to an internationally recognized master's degrees in engineering, architecture or landscape architecture.

The School of Science and Technology has seventeen master’s programmes instructed entirely in English and leading to a Master of Science degree. They are mainly targeted at international students with a qualification (bachelor's degree or equivalent) from a foreign university.
