Art, Design and Architecture
The School of Arts, Design and Architecture has signed student exchange programmes with 116 art and design institutes in Europe. Student exchange is supported by grants. ERASMUS grants are also available for trainee internships.
The placements usually last 1-3 months, and you can choose the company/organisation by yourself.
The services include employment services, funded training programmes, career courses, and for those turning towards the international field the projects Odysseus and Gifu. The aim of the Odysseus project is to assist young designers going international. The designers approved to the project receive a one-year grant for their trainee internship abroad.

Business
Credits from traineeships cannot be included in any of the degrees. However, students actively take up trainee programs and internships as part of their career planning to gain work experience during the studies. Internships are a good way to balance theoretical knowledge and practice, and can also provide an insight on the business field where you may wish to work in the future. An internship abroad will be an effective way to enhance your language skills, and companies value your experience on working in a different culture. Matters related to intenships are coordinated by the Career Services.

Technology
For degree students in Science and Technology, practical training abroad is an excellent alternative to exchange studies, especially if you are already at the final stage of your studies and looking for more work life related experience. You might also have a very rewarding exchange year behind you, so by participating in practical training abroad you are able to continue to build up your international competence and experiences.
