Teaching and Education Evaluation

During the academic year 2010–2011, an evaluation of the teaching and education (TEE) of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes was carried out at Aalto University. The aim of the evaluation was to analyse the present state of some of the practices of the degree programme management, implementation and development.

The evaluation was carried out by panels consisting of international experts and students. The evaluation was based on self-evaluations by each degree programme, a feedback survey answered by students and any other material supplied to the evaluators.

Departments and degree programmes may utilise both the immediate information they received during their self-evaluation process as well as the feedback they later received from the panellists. The information received from the evaluation can be further utilised in improving the quality of degree programmes, sharing good teaching practices and in strategic planning.
