Aalto University Apartments

Researcher dormitory Töölö Towers

Töölö Towers is a hotel type of accommodation, designed to accommodate incoming international researchers and other guests from a week to a maximum of six months.

Töölö Towers are centrally located in the city of Helsinki at Pohjoinen Hesperiankatu 23 A, close to the Töölö Campus of Aalto University. There is an easy access to the Otaniemi Campus via a near-by Kamppi Bus Terminal and to the Arabia Campus via tram.

Töölö Towers consist of 66 single rooms and 32 small apartments each with a kitchen. In addition there are also shared cooking facilities on every floor. All apartments and rooms are furnished. Prices varies from 280-490€/ week and 789-1443€/month for one person. Breakfast and weekly cleaning with change of bed linen are included in the price. Extra persno fee including breakfast is 84€/week and 315€/month.

Guest apartments

Aalto University has 45 furnished guest apartments. These apartments are available on first-come-first-served basis for the incoming and visiting international professors. Apartments are conveniently located in the cities of Espoo and Helsinki, near the Aalto campuses. The length of stay in these apartments is between one and 12 months.

Job-related apartments

Aalto University has approximately 30 job-related apartments in Otaniemi. Only a few apartments become available each year. Available apartments are announced in the Aalto University intranet, Aalto Inside, through the “Tori” forum, which requires Aalto University user ID to access. At the moment there is no queue system for the apartments and therefore you are able to apply for apartments during the application period, as mentioned in the announcement in Tori.

Need based assessment is conducted when selecting the tenant. Selection criteria: need of the apartment, working contract with Aalto University and household income.
