For Staff

As elsewhere for longer term housing in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, the best options are either renting or purchasing an apartment or house. Rental levels are relatively high varying from approx.600€ to 1000€/month for a studio apartment depending on the location. Finding suitable accommodation can be challenging especially in the beginning of the autumn term (August/September).

Aalto University has a limited number of guest apartments as well as job-related apartments and there are restrictions about who are able to apply them. (See Aalto University Apartments)

For shorter accommodation needs there are plenty of options varying from apartment hotels to hotel level researcher dormitories and furnished rental apartments.
