The Aalto Factories are an example of a new and open approach to innovation. The workshops are dynamic and multidisciplinary collaborative environments for learning, teaching and research. They allow academic research groups and enterprises or public bodies to work together.

Aalto University is engaged in collaborative research projects with leading Finnish and foreign research institutes and businesses. These projects enable companies to have access to the latest scientific information. The University also gives companies the opportunity to network with other universities and research institutes.

The alumni are an integral part of the Aalto community. Aalto University alumni have all studied at Aalto University itself or previously at the Helsinki School of Economics, the University of Art and Design Helsinki, or Helsinki University of Technology. The alumni networks are founded on a long and diverse partnership. We also offer alumni opportunities for cross-disciplinary networking and we support their development in their own field.
