Aalto University Magazine 06 focuses on entrepreneurship
04.03.2013
The just-released Aalto University Magazine looks at the luminous startup phenomenon and the actual radiation of the firmament.
Yrittäjyys on maailmankatsomus, jossa oma asenne ratkaisee, todetaan lehden pääjutussa. ”Yrittäjyyden rokkitähteyden” lisäksi kiinnostuksen kohteena on firmojen sisäinen yrittäjyys, intrapreneurship, josta kertoo Suomen IBM:n innovaatiojohtaja Ville Peltola.

This issue's main article Rockstars of entrepreneurship notes that entrepreneurship is a world-view where one's attitude is key. Another focus of interest is the entrepreneurship occurring within large companies. Ville Peltola, Innovation Director at IBM Finland, talks about this intrapreneurship.
Entrepreneur Ulla Engeström's column analyses what makes a suitable ambience for a startup ecosystem and Harri Valpola of Zen Robotics recounts his steps from an artificial intelligence researcher to technology entrepreneur.
A concrete look at the stars is provided by a report on goings-on at the Metsähovi Radio Observatory.
The new In-house photo column offers a snapshot from Otaniemi campus, where renovations for a new “Bachelor House” are ongoing.
Aalto University Magazine is available at all Aalto campuses.
