Aalto University School of Economics is renamed Aalto University School of Business

The Aalto University School of Economics will be renamed the Aalto University School of Business as of 1 August 2012.
- The new name not only constitutes a proper translation of our name in Finnish, but also reflects the activities of our school. Moreover, most of the word-class schools in this field call themselves ‘X Business School’ or ‘X School of Business´, says dean Ingmar Björkman.
In its strategy, the Aalto University School of Business aims to be world-class business school by 2020.
Aalto BIZ -abbreviation will be used internally within the university.
The Finnish name (Aalto-yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulu) does not change.
