Tenure track appointments in the School of Economics

Dean Jyrki Wallenius has appointed 20.9.2011 D.Sc. (Tech.) Pauli Murto Associate Professor (without tenure, 5 years) in Economics (Applied Microeconomics) and D.Sc. (Econ.) Elias Rantapuska, Assistant Professor (1. term, 3 years) in Finance at the School of Economics.
Pauli Murto graduated as a Master of Science (Technology) from the Helsinki University of Technology in 1998 and received his doctoral degree in the same subject in 2003. Doctor Murto has worked as post-doctoral researcher at the Helsinki School of Economics, as a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and as a researcher in the Academy of Finland in 2005 - 2010. He has specialised in microeconomics.
Elias Rantapuska graduated as a Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration) from the Helsinki School of Economics in 2003 and received his doctoral degree in the same subject in 2006. His doctoral dissertation discussing the behaviour of investors has received a number of Finnish and foreign awards. After completing his doctoral dissertation, Rantapuska worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and since autumn 2010 he has worked as a researcher at the Department of Finance of the Aalto University School of Economics. Elias Rantapuska has specialised in the studying of investor behaviour with the help of extensive database material.
