Aalto University and Futureful announce collaboration
22.12.2010
The Aalto University Department of Media Technology and the Aalto Center for Entrepreneurship announce their collaboration with Futureful, a research-based start up. The cooperation will focus on the commercialization of cutting-edge research and embodies what the formation of Aalto University is all about; where science and art meet technology and business.
- The collaboration with Futureful represents another step forward in Aalto University's ambition to become a launchpad for globally ambitious and disruptive start ups based on world-class research. This collaboration is a great example of our role in bringing together experienced industry professionals with world-class research, in order to accelerate start up success, says Will Cardwell, Head of Aalto University Center for Entrepreneurship.
- Futureful is optimally positioned to succeed with an experienced team and advisory board, and sufficient funding to continue executing on their unique vision. Stanford has given birth to the likes of Google and Yahoo, there's no reason Aalto can't do the same, Cardwell continues.
- This is an ideal set-up for us. Futureful was founded through research originating from Media Lab Helsinki and we are now excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the world-class team in the Department of Media Technology. Aalto University is becoming a global hub of entrepreneurial activity, and we look forward to being one of the early success stories, concludes Jarno M. Koponen the co-founder of Futureful.
