How atomic-scale defects influence nuclear material properties

Janne Heikinheimo, M.Sc.(Tech.), will defend the dissertation "Applications of positron annihilation spectroscopy in nuclear materials research" on 26 January 2018 at 13 o'clock (1 PM) at the Aalto University School of Science. In the dissertation, crystallographic defects were characterized in oxidized zirconium and proton irradiated tungsten. Gamma detectors and their effects on the accuracy of positron annihilation spectroscopy were also reviewed.
