M.Sc. (Tech.) Juha Vierinen will defend the dissertation “On statistical theory of radar measurements” on 1 October 2012 in Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory, Polaria-hall, Tähteläntie 62, Sodankylä (the public defence is videoed and can be watched in Aalto University School of Science’s lecture hall A346, Konemiehentie 2, Espoo). The doctoral thesis studies high power large aperture radar measurements using the framework of statistical inverse problems.
