M.Sc. (Tech.) Otto Seppälä will defend the dissertation “Advances in Assessment of Programming Skills” on 24 August 2012. In the thesis a number of assessment techniques and exercises suitable for mass education and automated assessment are examined. We present techniques that can yield more detailed or fundamentally different kind of information from existing types of exercises.
