Let’s build the future together

Finland needs new ideas, solutions, entrepreneurship, work, and leadership. We need the courage to take a leap into the unknown, to investigate, learn and try new things. Aalto University wants to be a strong participant and partner in this process.

Support work for a stronger Finland

As a university of this millennium, we strive for top-quality research and teaching. Students are the focus of all activities. Supporting their enthusiasm and preparing them for the working life of the future is our most important target.

Our spearhead areas are ICT and the digitalisation of society, arts and design, new materials and sustainable use of natural resources, and business in a changing global environment.

Knowledge, work and well-being

Finland lives off export – our industry needs strong innovation partners to succeed in global competition. By performing pioneering research and educating new experts, we create new work, economic growth and well-being in Finland and worldwide.

The support of fundraising will help us to keep up with the international competition in the long run.

By donating to Aalto University, you support work for a stronger Finland.

Our goal is to obtain 20 million euros in donations by the end of June 2017. Government capitalisation can actually quadruple funds donated to the university. Donations may be earmarked for one of Aalto’s three fields of education – business studies, arts, or technology. However, an earmarked donation is eligible for governmental matching funding only if the donation is 10,000 euros or more.

Thanks to those who helped raise the base capital

At the founding stage, the donations for Aalto University’s and Finland’s future and competiveness were significant. We thank the private persons, companies and associations who donated and helped raise the base capital with the state of Finland.
